Our 2026 Studio Concert was held at The City of Sydney Creative Spaces, in a space that gave singers room to interact with our accompanist Alison and the audience. A large number of family and friends attended to support the singers in a program of classical, music theatre and contemporary pop songs.
Nick Barkl opened with It’s Only a Paper Moon, followed by Anne Richardson’s warm interpretation of Songs My Mother Taught Me and Victoria’s sprightly It Was a Lover and His Lass. The program continued with Baroque songs by Celeste and Belinda, Alex’s Somewhere That’s Green, Claudette’s Mister Snow, and Gina’s Don’t Rain on My Parade.
The second half featured Celeste’s Pur dicesti, o bocca bella, Belinda’s three songs from Pierrot Lunaire, Victoria’s Myself, Anne’s L’Absence, Claudette’s It Might as Well Be Spring, Alex’s What a Difference a Day Makes, Nick’s Kissing A Fool, Gina’s Lovesick, Victoria’s Art Is Calling for Me, and concluded with Celeste’s I Could Have Danced All Night.
Each singer showcased their ongoing vocal and performance development and received resounding, well deserved applause. We are all so thankful to the many supporters who listened with love and care to our singers.
